North West

The NW is defined by the Park boundaries to the West and North, the Lufupa river and Northern spinal road to the East and the M9 road to the South.  This area is defined into two tourism areas:  The Busanga plains and then the area South from the plains that follows the Lufupa river from Mozhi area down to the confluence with the Kafue and then South down to the M9 and the bridge across the Kafue.  The tourism facilities in the Southern area again are all set on permanent rivers – the Lufupa and the Kafue.  The Northern Busanga plains is a seasonally flooded, open grassland and here the (seasonal) camps are all set into tree islands in the plains.
